Metal Braces
Metal braces are the most common type. They are made of high grade stainless steel. Today's metal braces are smaller, more comfortable, and more attractive.

Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces are made of translucent (clear) material. They are most popular with adult patients, due to their cosmetic appeal.

Gold Braces
Gold braces are stainless steel braces coated with 24 karat gold.

Invisalign
The Invisalign System is a series of clear overlay templates—called aligners—that have been generated by computer simulation to gradually move the teeth. This system is available to adult patients with certain orthodontic bite problems. Dr. Sarkis Euksuzian is an Invisalign Certified Orthodontist. Ask us if you are a candidate for the Invisalign system.

Wild Smiles
Wild Smiles Brackets are made from quality stainless steel. They also can incorporate color elastic ties for added individuality. The patented designs can be mixed and matched to give everyone a truly unique smile.

Palatal Expansion Appliance
This appliance can widen the upper jaw to allow more room for the upper teeth and create a broader smile. This is usually used on patients with a crossbite or a narrow upper jaw.

Bionator
This removable appliance holds the lower jaw forward and guides the eruption of the teeth while helping the upper and lower jaws to grow in proportion with each other. It is used to eliminate an overjet discrepancy

Functional Appliance
A "removable" retainer worn to redirect jaw growth.

Lingual Arch
Fits on the inside of the lower teeth, from molar to molar, as a space maintainer.

Herbst Appliance
A fixed functional appliance used to achieve multifunctional treatment goals such as expansion, space opening or closure.

Facial Orthopedics
The upper and lower jaws often do not grow symmetrically and to the proper size. This "unbalanced facial growth pattern" can be detected in children as early as age 7.  This can, however, be corrected in these young children, thereby improving facial features.

Using "Facial Orthopedic" treatment to correct jaw size and position, future problems such as jaw surgery, permanent tooth extraction, and speech problems can be intercepted.

Combining "Facial Orthopedics" with braces can result in the best possible facial features, smile, and bite relationship for a person with both jaw development and tooth position problems.
